The 2026 British Grand Prix returns to the legendary Silverstone Circuit this weekend, promising fireworks in front of one of the most passionate home audiences on the calendar.
What to know about the British MotoGP
Silverstone, one of the fastest and most historic tracks on the MotoGP calendar, has been a regular fixture and is famous for its high-speed flowing layout, long straights, and demanding high-speed corners.
The 5.9 km circuit features 18 turns (10 right, 8 left), a mix of ultra-fast sweeps (including the iconic Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel complex), heavy braking zones, elevation changes, and technical sections.

The German MotoGP (Round 11 at Sachsenring) delivered a dominant performance on 12 July.
Marc Márquez completed a perfect weekend (pole, Sprint win and race victory) to take his 10th premier-class win at the circuit, equalling Giacomo Agostini’s record.
Ai Ogura finished second and Raúl Fernández third for a Trackhouse Aprilia 2-3.
Standings
Jorge Martín leads the 2026 MotoGP riders’ championship with 208 points, 14 points ahead of Ai Ogura.
Marc Márquez sits third with 190 points, followed by Marco Bezzecchi (186) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (184). Raúl Fernández, Pedro Acosta, and Francesco Bagnaia round out the top eight.
Aprilia continues to dominate the constructors’ standings ahead of Ducati and KTM.

“Before the race, nobody expected us to fight for the podium. We were thinking about fighting for the top five, so I’m really happy," Fernandez said after his third-place finish at the 2026 German MotoGP.
"If we can keep this line of work, we can always be in the top five, which is a great target. We need to keep our feet on the ground and work like this every weekend.”
